The 2nd annual Flora’s Walk during World Maternal Mental Health Week, the first week of May, was a tremendous success! Thank you to all who participated.

25% of funds raised will go in our Community Pot to be distributed to non profit organizations across Canada engaging in perinatal mental health programming. Stay tuned for the application coming soon. Our Community Pot will also allow our Walk Leaders and health practitioners to obtain their Canadian Certified Perinatal Mental Health Certificate (CC-PMH).Immediately following Flora’s Walk 2023, training got underway for 85 health practitioners and walk leaders thanks to funds raised from Flora’s Walk 2022!
75% of funds raised will go towards starting CPMHC chapters in each province and territory to ensure advocacy grows stronger nation-wide.
At the Ottawa Flora’s Walk, Minister of Mental Health and Addictions, Carolyn Bennett announced $857,000 in funding for perinatal mental health including $372,000 to Women’s College Hospital to develop Canada’s first ever National Guidelines for Perinatal Mental Health! The CPMHC is thrilled to be Principal Advisors for the guidelines working alongside phenomenal project leads Dr. Simone Vigod and Dr. Benicio Frey.
