Natasha MacDonald
she/her, Quebec
As a Project Development Officer with Riverside School Board, Natasha leads marketing and communications efforts in the Adult Education sector, where she also acts as co-chair of the mental health committee. Having once been responsible for leading community development initiatives in the Monteregie region of Montreal, she helped build programs and services aimed to decrease isolation of targeted populations, notably parents with children aged 0-5. Prior to her time in public education, Natasha was a Communications and Public Relations Coordinator in the non-profit sector. As a mother to three amazing (really amazing!) boys, her journey through motherhood brought on its own challenges concerning perinatal mood and anxiety disorders. She is so happy to be on the CPMHC Board of Directors so that she may collaborate alongside a group of dedicated and like-minded individuals who are championing the advancement of initiatives supporting perinatal mental health. Natasha is a strong believer in the power of storytelling and how sharing one’s story has a profound impact on both the teller and the listener. She hopes the stigmas associated with perinatal mental health will one day be a thing of the past and wants proper support and care to become genuinely rooted into the fabric of our health care system. She is honoured with the opportunity to help propel the CPMHC’s mission.
