Join Flora’s Walk

CPMHC is holding its first national WALK-A-THON on May 4th, 2022, World Maternal Mental Health Day. *Scroll down for a list of team walks happening across Canada*

The walk is named after Flora Babakhani, a Canadian mom who tragically lost her life to postpartum psychosis on January 14th, 2022.

LOCAL ORGANIZATIONS: 50% of funds raised for Flora’s Walk will go to local non profits (registered charity) delivering perinatal mental health services. YES!

When you sign up to be a Walker or Team Leader, if you choose to also raise funds for a local organization, choose from our drop down list or type in the charity name.

CPMHC is in the business of making sure all Canadians that need them have timely access to perinatal mental health services and we are thrilled to support organizations across Canada that are working hard to make that happen!

Where else will the money go?

FAMILIES IN NEED: 20% of funds raised will go to support Flora’s baby, Amber. We plan to continue this every year by donating funds to families in need of perinatal mental health services.

TRAINING SCHOLARSHIPS: 20% will go towards providing perinatal mental health training scholarships to health care practitioners.

CPMHC/ADMIN: 10% will go towards covering fundraising organizing costs and special CPMHC projects.
